Most people think that ferrets are crazy, wacky little critters that wobble around your house uncontrollably. Well, that is true, but what isn’t widely known is that the ferret has a sleeping habit that makes the house cat look like an early riser. After a ferret has explored your house, bumped in to walls and tried to nip at your guests’ toes, it’s probably going to be time for a nap. After that, your ferret may want to take another nap, and then another. It is not uncommon for a ferret to spend 20 hours a day sleeping.
Often, a new ferret owner is concerned that they have a sick ferret because of how lethargic they can at times, however a sleeping ferret is a happy ferret. There is nothing more rewarding for a ferret than a snooze after eating some treats or rolling around in your hamper. To learn more about ferrets and their sleeping habits, Click Here.
